Simple Yet Sweet. Make Your Own 14k gold hoop earrings

by CGM Findings on July 31, 2012

It’s the simple ideas we like. Those little bits of information you find are like pieces of gold to get the noggin goin on a new project or help weed through the chaos. We found this tutorial and we like how simple yet handy it is to create your own hoops.

Great little metalcrafter, this girl. She talks about safety at the workbench upfront and steps right into a handy way to make nifty 14k gold hoops with a cool self-locking closure. I suppose you can use just about any wire you desire depending on the hardness. Silver, silver-filled, gold-filled, or almost any other metal. Of course, some will yield better results than others.

We hope you find this little tutorial useful and get yourself making some nice hoops with self-locking closure. Maybe you can make a whole series. Enjoy for now.

thanks to Mary Anne Karren for posting it.
