14k Dinosaur Gembone Wedding Set

Mark’s newest addition to his gembone jewelry portfolio… a custom designed 14k gold wedding set with colorful gembone inlay. The women’s ring has two sections of gembone inlay on either side of a 1 carat+ princess cut diamond set in a platinum. The men’s ring has one thick section of incredible gem dinosaur bone inlay within a substantial 14k band.
Both rings custom carved and cast in-house by Mark Anderson.
Laser Welding for platinum setting by Paul McCrate of Black Box Diamond.

The rings were made from this gem dinosaur bone~

Dinosaur bone can very in durability. The material I use has a very high silica content which makes it hard and durable for rings. It can also have a high calcite content which will make it soft and not durable for rings or bracelets. The high quality hard agate bone is just as durable as most agates and will wear well in rings. Of course like any other ring stone, diamonds should not be worn on the finger next to it because they will scratch or chip gembone and any other stones including other diamond rings.

Definitely “oh WOW”! Question, having never used dinosaur bone – how sturdy is it? How will it hold up to constant wear?

I love the warm colors of the bone against the gold, and the contrast with the diamond and platinum.
