Donors Choose: What Does a Charity Site Have to do with Rocks and Gems?

…it has everything to do with the future…with instilling in school kids an interest in Rocks, Gems and the World around them.
When I am thinking about charitable giving I always try to tie it in to the fields that interest me. Jewelry as an “Arts Program” is being cut from most school curriculums – BUT – you can always find an Earth Sciences teacher who needs help with rocks for classroom activities or buses to take a fieldtrip to the Natural History Museum.
The reason that I always check Donors Choose first is that I get to direct where my funds go – so look to see what the needs are in your region and help some school kids today!
