I think what I loved most about the “All That Glitters” exhibit at the Natural History Museum is that everyone will find an aspect of this exhibit to identify with.
Beauty?
…if you are all about the beauty of gorgeous jewels this show has jaw dropping pieces in spades!
Earth Sciences?
…if you have an interest in Mineralogy or just admire Mother Nature’s gems the way they come out of the ground – they’ve got them!
Gemology?
…there is the coolest visual that shows the nature of crystalography (is that a word?)
…and an interactive display that shows chemical content.
Unfortunately my camera decided to quit working half way through the day…so these are the last of the photos I got …there are a couple short videos…will upload later.
This stunner is a giant sheet of Pallasite!
In California all exhibits include Native Gold (left)
…of course this is the Museum so we have to feature the obligatory Dinosaur photo!
