The second edition of the HKTDC Hong Kong International Diamond, Gem Pearl Show opened today at AsiaWorld-Expo (AWE) with a record number of exhibitors, three new group pavilions and a debut zone dedicated to precious pearls. The fair, which continues through 6 March, was, until last year, part of the HKTDC Hong Kong International Jewellery Show which opens on Wednesday at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre.

“Building on the success of the inaugural ‘two shows, two venues’ format introduced last year, this Show returns with another dazzling array of precious stones, pearls and raw materials here at the AsiaWorld-Expo,” said Benedict Sin, Jewellery Advisory Committee Chairman of event organiser the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC).
