I was recently looking for the definition for something blog-related and stumbled upon this. I thought it might be of use to you too! ;-]
I know it starts off with the question of “What is a Blog?”—but if you look further down the article, there are several additional terms that are referred to frequently in the blogging world—many of which I’d heard about and had loose understandings off. [I wasn't sure exactly how Pingbacks worked...]

Remember the post I wrote a few days ago, “To Social Network–or Not“—where I wondered about whether social media/social networking is worth the effort from a business perspective? Well, I stumbled across this very interesting post by Jeff Bullas, over at Jeffbullas’s Blog.
[I've written a few long-looking posts recently, so I won't comment on this one except in the actual comments---in response to yours. And by the way, I'll be posting more of these informational pieces for which I won't be offering much commentary. Much of that is because I want to place the info on my blog where I need it and can easily access it---and then, of course, I don't mind sharing it with you! Also, I know it can be kind of overwhelming to always see LONG posts---so I want to kind of keep them as short as possible when I can.]
