Well, of course, as a jeweler since I work with you know what, I had to go you know where…where I saw this
and this (yes, I used to be a *HUGE* fan despite the er uh, ::cough, cough::, emblem…)
But, what I really went for was…
Can you guess?
MINI!!!
Sigh! If only I had waited a couple of years–but I couldn’t. I needed a replacement when I did, so I have my beautiful Candace.
The Camden is a special edition MINI, made to celebrate MINI’s 50th anniversary. The paint job on it is freaking amazing. It’s a lustrous pearly/silvery/white, and it is just so pretty you want to lick it (well, no, I guess not after all of those people touched it…). I’m not a huge fan of white cars, but I could definitely make an exception in this case.
When we got back home and pulled into the garage, as I walked by Candace (we took Volvie out for the day) I smiled and patted her on the hood. She liked it. She’s snow-dirty, but she liked it.
Now, the one thing that would make the jewelry that I design even MORE cool would be to have it come from the MINI painting bays…MINI-ite. ;-]
Speaking of paint jobs, I wouldn’t mind having this bad boy.
Well, of course, not just for the color—but that color sure was pretty! (And I’m usually not into orange cars either…)
When spring finally breaks, I must get myself to a racing track—maybe that’ll take the edge off of this crazy car-fiending.
