Thailand now has a specialized gallery for contemporary art jewelry!

by atinuj on August 30, 2010

Finally Thailand now has its first and only gallery for contemporary art jewelry.  ATTA Gallery opened its door to jewelry art lovers on August 25, 2010 to introduce contemporary art jewelry to the general public in Thailand.

ATTA means Self in Pali, an ancient Indian language which is also used in Thai.  ATTA Gallery aims to emphasize the name of the gallery by encouraging artists to express themselves through their creative jewelry works and at the same time educating consumes about expressing themselves through the jewelry they wear.

ATTA Gallery will have an open house on Thursday September 9, 2010 between 18:00-20:00.  The Grand Opening will be held on November 11, 2010 with the opening of the exhibition “11 Artists, 11 ATTAs”

Check out the website at www.attagallery.com.

Thank you guys. I hope more and more people will come to understand the the kind of jewelry I carry at the gallery.

Andy, I am displaying your Cheek ring as a part of an informative exhibition called “Jewelry As We Know It” to educate the public about jewelry that departs from the mass/traditional jewelry they normally see here in Thailand. I love that ring an I want to share it with others. Hope you don’t mind.

Congratulations Atty,

The opening of this gallery no doubt throws a window open on a new view of what jewelry is and can be. Your colleagues in the northwest United States wish you the best.

Andy

Khun Atty,

I wish you great success and fulfillment with the birth of ATTA
Gallery. This venue promises to open a new doorway into the world of contemporary metals and jewelry in Thailand. I look forward to visiting ATTA in person, in the not too distant future.

May this bring you prosperity and enjoyment in equal measures,
P’ Michael
