Last week we set this synthetic ruby and made it look great. Then we destroyed the prongs and had to fix them like they were new. I think I did a decent job.

Thanks Jamie! It would be really neat to use a laser welder but we actually use an oxygen/propane torch. We used wire in some cases and little tabs of metal on other prongs depending on how wore out the prong was. Thanks for asking.
Certainly looks neat. How did you do it? Is it wire soldered on to the base of the setting, or do you use a laser welder?
