Orchid Presents: Donna Hiebert   Email the Artist

The jewelry of Donna Hiebert, designer/maker, combines the quest for precision with a fascination for sacred geometry, ancient architecture, and the rhythms of the natural world. Her pieces are executed in precious metals and gems by the use of traditional fabrication techniques, machining, and the use of a hydraulic press.

"I trained and worked in sculpture for many years. It is my aim, at this time, to make jewelry that embraces and reflects the remarkable beauty and exquisite functioning of the human body. The technical and design possibilities in jewelry are limitless - there is always more to learn."

Donna Hiebert has formed Donna Hiebert Design Inc., a company which reaches U.S. buyers primarily through select wholesale shows, and locally through individual commissions. She has been a recipient of numerous Canada Council Grants, has exhibited her artwork nationally, and her sculpture entitled "Containment", in the permanent collection of Dalhousie University, Halifax, Nova Scotia Canada, was awarded a Canadian Cultural Property designation.
