Jacek Ostrowski Introduces a New Design

Jacek Ostrowski is a graduate of the Faculty for Design at the Technical College in Koszalin (Poland). He created his first jewelry designs during his studies, and they quickly became his major passion. For three years now, he has designed silver jewelry collections with Baltic amber.

The natural amber has a particular importance for him: the warm color and the inherent flow of this stone inspire him, as it lends the jewelry an incredible charm and elegance. For this reason also - independent of the collection - the stone draws attention to itself, fascinates with its inner shine and delights with its special magic. But what is most important is that his jewelry breaks with traditional stereotypes of amber: through his geometric inspirations, he creates modern, simple and avant garde forms. His innovative and creative philosophy and interpretations of the age-old resin has found a welcome response. In Poland, Jacek quite quickly drew attention to himself and was awarded the Gold Medal in the "Mercurius Gadenensis" competition which was organized by the International Show for Amber, Jewelry and Gemstones Amberif 2006 in Gdansk. This year has started with particular success for the jewelry designer: He won the Jewelry Award 2008 with the best jewelry collection for his set "4 Wave" in the competition "The Top 50 New Products at Showcase 2008" in Ireland and the competition "Amber Handicraft 2008" during the Amberif show in March. The presentation of his collection was alsovery successfull at this year's brand new - new brand platform at the Inhorgenta Europe in Munich.

Good ideas are the great strength of Jacek Ostrowski, who recently added luxurious wristwatches to his portfolio: they are characterized above all by modern design and a dial that is adorned with amber.
